1 The maximum duration of an insured trip including any extensions/top-ups cannot exceed 212 days unless you obtain written approval from your Canadian Government or Provincial Health Insurance Plan.

2 Prior to your Multi-Trip Annual Plan expiry date, you will be contacted regarding your options to purchase coverage for another one-year period at the premium rates and with the terms and conditions then being offered.

3 Certain benefits are subject to maximum coverage limits specified in the Certificate of Insurance. CIBC Emergency Travel Medical Insurance is subject to a maximum aggregate coverage limit of $2 million per insured traveller per insured trip.

4 A pre-existing medical condition or symptom means a sickness, injury or medical condition, whether or not diagnosed by a physician, for which you had symptoms, or required or received medical attention, consultation or treatment, and which existed before your departure date or the effective date of your coverage.

5 CIBC Emergency Travel Medical Insurance cannot be purchased through our banking centres in Quebec.
