CIBC Emergency Travel Medical Insurance provides maximum total coverage of $2 million (CAD) for you, your family, or your travelling companion while outside your province of residence. You are protected from the potentially high cost of emergency medical care in excess of what is covered by your Canadian Government or Provincial Health Insurance Plan, you get help in finding medical aid worldwide, and you have access to pre-trip planning advice and en route travel assistance with everything from lost baggage to emergency legal services. Purchase coverage before each individual trip, or get a multi-trip annual plan for year round coverage.
A medical emergency during your trip can involve additional expenses that are also covered by CIBC Emergency Travel Medical Insurance. These include the return home of your dependant children or a companion travelling with you; transportation of a friend or family member to your bedside; vehicle services and incidental expenses; automatic extension of coverage; and return of deceased.
We also provide an emergency message service so you can easily contact your family, friends or employer from anywhere in the world. All these en route travel services are for your convenience only; CIBC Emergency Travel Medical Insurance does not cover any expenses related to these helpful services.
